Years of Experience
Christa has been working with animals her entire life. Starting with horses, she rode and worked in a trail riding stable through high school.
Having gained extensive education on operant and classical conditioning in her early work, she began working with a pioneer in the reward based training industry, A Dog’s Best Friend in Florida. This is where Christa’s understanding of behavior began to focus on dogs primarily. First, becoming interested in aggression within dogs and the importance of early puppy foundations. After 4 years working here, Christa sought to find her own place in the dog training world and began her balanced training journey, which led to her starting her own business in 2012. Christa also competes in obedience and protection sports with her personal dogs.
